Montreal Pre-Season Logo

In 2023, the Thunder played the Detroit Pistons in Montreal for a pre-season game. Because of the ties the team has to Montreal, with two players from Canada, and one from Montreal (Luguentz Dort), the organization went all out. I created a micro-campaign and logo for the event.

We explored many options for the logo, drawing ideas from the Thunder team, basketball, the city’s skyline, attractions, and landscape, and themes from the Art Nouveau movement. We also provided options in English, for our American fans, and in French, for the Montreal audience. The final mark we landed on is written in French and is a modern twist on Art Nouveau, utilizing common shapes from the era.
